Chat Notifications

What is WorkApps Chat Desktop/Laptop Notifications? How do I enable them? Can a Guest user see Notifications on his device?

Notifications on desktop or laptops are the best ways to let the users know about the incoming message in run time. To enable them, when a user logs in to WorkApps Account should go to the Browser -> Click on the small lock icon in the Browser Address bar just besides the WorkApps URL on top -> Click on the Notification Drop down -> Select "Allow" option from the drop down. For video calling features you will need Camera & Microphone permissions too as shown in the screenshot below.

For which events; Notifications will be shown on the Desktop or Laptop?

For all incoming messages on the Guest User’s device. For a registered user Notifications will be sent for incoming messages + Video Recording File uploaded into the Chat history after processing by the central server

Why I can’t see notifications on my desktop when a message is sent to me?

I am NOT getting Notification on my Mobile device. How do I ensure it gets delivered to my mobile when I am NOT available on my web application?

Ensure you configure mobile app to show Notifications on your mobile device; on and above that you should log out from your web application on your desktop or laptop then only you will get notification.

Will I get a notification even if I am NOT logged into WorkApps but when Google chrome is running where I had logged in successfully earlier & set Remember my Password?

No! In this case you will NOT get notification if you are not logged in web application on laptop/desktop.

I have logged in on both Mobile and Web Applications in WorkApps Enterprise Chat Account? Which device will display the Notifications?

When you are logged in on both; notifications will work on your web application on laptop/desktop. In your Mobile app; it will load & a counter of the unread chat messages will increase but no Notification.

Why don’t I see notifications on my Mobile/Desktop device?
