How can I do a video with a random person (Guest User) using a WorkApps link without any sort of registration on the Guest user’s part?

To do a video call with a person NOT in your contact’s list; you would need to share your unique Public Guest Chat link with your Guest. He will open the URL -> Enter his Name -> You will see him signed up in your Chat list -> you would then start a video call. It is that simple.

I am a registered user of WorkApps and need to communicate with a random person on internet using a WorkApps Link how do I go about?

Share your WorkApps Public Guest Chat Link with the user -> have him sign up with his name & the guest will appear in your Chat Contact list as an unread message -> you can then start conversation with the user.

How do I enter text in two lines while sending a message in WorkApps Chat?

Just press Alt + Enter when you have finished first line in your Chat window text box. This will take you to next line. Start typing text in second line too.

Is it possible to see the entire chat history in a full screen mode?

Yes you can! To expand the chat window and view it full screen -> Go to the Chat window -> on the top hand right corner of the chat window you will see one small square icon in a slightly bigger icon, click on it -> Full screen chat window will appear on your screen. Follow the same process to bring it back to the normal size.

A placeholder "Employee has exited the company" NOT allowing me to send a message to an employee; How do I resolve it?

This means that the employee’s account is NOT active and you cannot start a chat conversation with him. But you can still see the past conversation and download if any attachments shared.

I am NOT able to share files with my Guests; how can I have this enabled?

This probably happens when the organisation level setting for "Allow Employees to share files with Guest Users" is turned off. Only your WorkApps Enterprise Account Administrator can turn it on for you. Get in touch with your Organisation Administrator.

I can’t see + button in my chat window for uploading files?

This probably happens when the organisation level setting for "Allow Guest Users to Upload Files" is turned off. Only your WorkApps Enterprise Account Administrator can turn it on for you. Get in touch with your Organisation Administrator.

How can a Guest user share his/her location from chat page?

To share the current location; the Guest User in his WorkApps Guest Chat window needs to -> Click on Map icon -> Select the location best suited and describes the use case -> Click on "Share" to share your current location.

Does the Guest user need to allow the browser; a permission of "Know Your Location" to share his/her current location in chat window?

Yes absolutely! This is a browser specific permission that the Guest User needs to approve for the browser to know his current location. To 

Allow this permission -> Click on the small lock icon in the Browser Address bar just besides the WorkApps URL on top -> Click on the Location Drop down -> Select "Allow" option from the drop down. For video calling features you will need Camera & Microphone permissions too as shown in the screenshot below.

How can a user share files/location with other user in the WorkApps Account?

To share a File the guest user needs to click on the + Button in the Chat window text field; select the file from the local hard drive/mobile handset storage location. To share current location; the Guest User in his WorkApps Guest Chat window needs to -> Click on Map icon -> Select the location best suited and describes the use case -> Click on "Share" to share your current location.

How to enable Video Chat icon in an Employee’s WorkApps Chat Account?

To enable the Video Calling ability for an employee; and Admin should go to Admin Tab->Select the employee -> Click on the "More Menu" icon of the employee record->select Enable Video option. To disable it back follow the same steps; this time the option would be "Disable Video"

Can I disable a Public URL of a recorded Video in WorkApps Enterprise Account?

Yes absolutely! To make a video recording back to Private; go to the Chat window -> Click on the Video Recording File to Play it -> in the Play window on top right corner -> Just below the Organisation Logo -> Slide the bar towards the left to disable it.

My Video Calling icon is disabled; what are the reasons behind? How do I have it enabled?

Are IE and Edge browsers are NOT supported by WorkApps Chat software?

IE and Edge Browsers are NOT supported. To do a video call you need to use the following combination of OS and browser.

Windows 7 or 10:  Google Chrome version 65 & above, Firefox 65 & above

Android: Google Chrome version 65 & above,

iPhone: Safari 12.0 & above

Mac: Google Chrome version 65 & above, Safari 12.0 & above
